Dr Ashok Choudhury has completed his MBBS in 2004 with 3 gold medals, 3 honours and the best graduate of the outgoing batch and finished his MD Internal Medicine. He completed his Doctorate of Medicine (DM) in Hepatology at Institute of Liver and biliary Sciences (ILBS), New Delhi.He got international training at Kings College Hospital London in liver transplant as well as at Virginia Common Wealth University, Virginia USA.
Dr. Ashok Kumar Choudhury from Banki under Cuttack district of Odisha. Completed his school education from MB Bidyapitha followed by +2 from SCS College Puri. He joined MBBS in 1998 at SCB Medical college, Cuttack. He had 3 Gold Medals, 3 Honors and was the Best Graduate of the outgoing batch of SCB medical College Cuttack and Utkal University for MBBS.
Actively involved in the patient care both in patient and out patient as a consultant for hepato billiary and gastrointestinal disorders.
Lead role as a transplant hepatologist that includes- pre-transplant evaluation, perioperative care and post transplant follow up.
Hepatological Interventions : Liver Biopsy, Trans Jugular Liver Biopsy(TJLB), Cardiac Catheterization and Hepatic Venus Pressure Gradient Measurement(HVPG), Fibro scan.
Advanced Hepatology critical care – ICU and HDU management.
Emergency hepatology including advanced therapy for bleeder and ALF.
Academics, student teaching and research in both the clinical and basic sciences.
International collaboration and multi centric clinical trials.
Basic & advanced endoscopic procedures: Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, enteroscopy and associated interventions, ERCP including complicated procedures for post liver transplant Biliary complications.
